Chief Executive Officer and Owner John Chartres is the founder, owner and CEO of Specialist Data Solutions which began trading in 1989. John has a Bachelor of Science (Hons.) degree in Pharmacology from the University College London. Following graduation he served in the Royal Air Force as a fast jet pilot for nine years prior to forming SDS. Beginning SDS from scratch, John has grown SDS to be a successful international software company with offices in Detroit and the UK.

John employs staff with exceptional talent who have the desire to be part of a team offering truly innovative and market leading IT solutions. His personal desire to 'be the best' is a trait which runs throughout the company meaning that failure to succeed is never an option.

Vice President of Client Services Susan Kaleita has 24 years experience in Optical Retailing covering all areas including Retail Management, Lab Operations, and various Director level positions within the corporate setting. She has worked in a private practice setting as well as large Superstore settings including Lens Crafters. Ms. Kaleita’s previous position was with Henry Ford OptimEyes as the POS Operations Specialist.

For the last 3 years her main responsibility was the training, rollout, data base creation, and maintenance of the SDS system within the organization. Ms. Kaleita’s experience also includes Optometric Insurance Billing, Optics, and Customer Service Training.

Ms. Kaleita graduated from Ferris State University in Big Rapids Michigan with a BS degree in Health Systems Management and has attended the University of Phoenix for her MBA.
