What kind of customer base does SDS have?
SDS has customers in both North America and in the UK. We have customers that have one site locations (independents) to customers that have over 300+ locations. SDS in the USA primarily focuses on the larger optical retailers with multiple locations usually equal to 10 or more. We will however work with you to see if there is a mutual fit.

What kind of technology would I require to run SDS?
SDS currently recommends three solutions:

1. Fat client in a LAN environment (single store)
2. Thin client in a LAN environment (single store)
3. Thin client in WAN environment (server farm multi store)
   

How does SDS compare to your competition?
SDS has the most comprehensive solution using leading edge technology to provide our customer’s with a solution that meets their needs. We operate on the Windows NT/2000/XP technology infrastructure. SDS also has the option of being run in a Citrix (www.citrix.com) thin client environment or in a Application Services Provider (ASP) model. An application service provider (ASP) is a company that offers individuals or enterprises access over the Internet to SDS applications and related services that would otherwise have to be located in their own personal or enterprise computers thus greatly reducing costs.
